Connecting to Tilda MCP server
Connect an AI agent to Tilda via the MCP server to manage project content and pages using prompts. This guide explains how to create an access key and set up the connection.
Go to Profile and select MCP server from the menu on the right.
Click New key to create a key for connecting an AI agent.
In the key creation window, enter a name for the key and select its access type, choose the project and expiration period.
Access can be either full or limited.
With limited access, you can choose which project modules and actions the AI agent can work with.
You can set the key expiration period from 1 hour to no expiration.
Important: You cannot change the expiration period after the key has been created. If needed, delete the key and create a new one with a different expiration period.
Once all settings are configured, click Create key.
The generated key is displayed only once. Copy it and store it in a secure place—you will not be able to view it again. Then click Done.
If the key has not yet been used by an AI agent, this will be indicated in the Used column.
To change the access settings for a key, click the three dots next to it and select Edit.
Make the required changes and click Save.
Once the key has been created and saved, you can connect an AI agent to Tilda.
Important: The MCP server can only be connected to AI agents installed on your device as desktop applications. You cannot set up a connection to a cloud-based AI agent running in a browser.
There are two ways to connect an AI agent: using a ready-made prompt or setting up the connection manually.
Select an AI agent from the list and copy the ready-made prompt.

Paste it into the AI agent app and replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with the key you created.
To set up the connection manually, copy the command from the example and replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with the key you created.
After connecting the AI agent via the MCP server, return to the app and enter a detailed prompt describing what you want it to do.
The AI agent can create posts in CMS Feeds, add products to Catalog, and create project pages based on your prompts.
