Activating catalog
To start using the Catalog and creating categories for products, you will need to activate it. Go to Site Settings → More → Built-in → Product Catalog → Connect.
Click the "Get started with the Product Catalog" button to open the catalog control panel.
You can also access the Catalog later using two options: via the website dashboard or the product card block.
Creating categories and subcategories in an online store
To create categories, you first need to add products to your online store. Click the "Add" button to create first products.
Each product can belong to one or more categories, as well as subcategories. You can assign a category or subcategory in the individual product card.

To manage categories, click the Catalog categories link in the top menu.
Click the Add category button to add a new category.
To add a subcategory, click the plus icon next to the category.
You can create up to 10 levels of subcategory nesting for one category.
Editing categories and subcategories
To change the category title, set a page for a category, or other additional settings, click the pencil icon.
To change the order of categories and subcategories, click on the item you need and move it anywhere. You can also change the nesting of categories and subcategories in the same way without opening the category editor.
If more than 10 categories have been created in the catalog or subcategories have been added, the catalog interface will change—a side menu will appear with a list of all added categories.
To add or edit a subcategory using the side menu, hover over the category and click the three dots. A context menu with actions will appear.
Bulk actions with categories and subcategories
To bulk change a product's assignment to a category/subcategory, select the products in the catalog, then select the action you need and the corresponding category/subcategory.
You can also assign or change a category/subcategory via the product card. Open the product, click the "Add to category" button, and select the category/subcategory from the list.
Adding products as No category
If a product doesn't have a category, it will automatically be added as "No category." This is a system category that is only visible when you are managing the Catalog. You cannot delete this category or display it in the "Store" category block.
Displaying categories and subcategories in the online store
To display a catalog category or subcategory, open the block's Content and select the value you need in the "Show products from the catalog" field.
If you added a product only to a catalog subcategory but displayed a category, it won't display. To display a product in a category, you must add it there separately.

A product isn't automatically assigned to a catalog category if it's only added to its subcategory. So if you plan to display a catalog category on the page, add all products from its subcategories to it.

Manage categories and subcategories by adding new ones. Categories and subcategories are useful for more convenient product management and to display only specific product categories in store card blocks.
